It’s been a loooong day. The wind and hills made it impossible to drive the speed limit much of the time, and as a result, it took forever to get to Moab. It was supposed to take 5.5 hours, but we just arrived at the Moab KOA – 8hrs later! (I had to stop to rest of course).
We were planning to boondock camp tonight, but I really think we need the AC to run, and having shore power makes that possible. Campbell is a bit disappointed, but I think we’re both just tired from the road and frustrated with how hot it is – and how janky my knees are. Campbell believes we should be hiking more – but it’s just not even an option – regardless of my knees in this weather.
I rented a Jeep for tomorrow – but I’m not sure what we’re going to do.
We made a run through Arches NP on our way into Moab – just to make sure we can cross it off our list – and trying to make a plan to visit it again before we leave.
We need to rest tonight – and just see how it goes tomorrow : )
