Yesterday Jason and I went different directions in Huntsville — Jason back to Harrison to load his truck and head home, and me to a VRBO in Bella Vista.
I wanted somewhere I could sit by some water and clean myself up, and this place has been great. First thing I did was jump in the lake, then took a nice shower.
The host recommended Bella’s Table for dinner, and it was really good. I ate way too much, but I had to try the calamari and a chicken plate over squash purée.
Then I spent the rest of the evening catching up on the blog — you’re welcome, haha — email and everything else I’d ignored while we were on the trail.
My host offered to take me out on their pontoon boat, but a storm rolled in, so that wasn’t happening. Instead I sat and watched the lightning and thunder over the lake.
I slept nine hours and finally feel caught up.
